Vietnam National University, Hanoi is a university in Hanoi, Vietnam. The University has 10 colleges and faculties. This is one of two national universities. It also is the most prestigious university in Vietnam, rank 139 in Asia. Throughout its history, the university has had several name changes: the Indochinese University (established in 1906); Vietnam National University (November 1945); the University of Hanoi (June 1956). In 1993, Vietnam National University, Hanoi was created by merging the University of Hanoi, Hanoi University of Education and College of Foreign Languages.
