The Graduate School explores the political, cultural and historical dimensions of change in East and Southeast Europe. Particular attention is given to the interplay between East and Southeast Europe and other regions of the world. In addition to the core subjects of history and Slavic studies, several other disciplines in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies contribute to the School. Coordinated jointly by LMU Munich and the University of Regensburg, the Graduate School also draws on the combined expertise of several independent research institutions in Munich and Regensburg.
