Somehow I feel that I have no chance of applying to any of these without IELTS/ TOEFL. See, the problem is that even though I speak English quite well (and even use it in my work), I did not study in English, nor do I think that my high-school diploma would count for anything (especially since I wasn’t a very good pupil in school).

I want to apply for a (non-ballet) dance/ choreography degree, but the only two universities that I found require either IELTS or TOEFL. Studying for a IELTS/ TOEFL diploma is expensive enough where I live, and you have to pay to actually write the exam (nor sure if it’s standard practice with them). That being said, even if I do manage to get a good IELTS/ TOEFL mark, there’s little chance I’ll be able to get a stipend, since I’m a rather mediocre dancer, and since I’m not an EU/ EEA country citizen, the price for study is way out of my reach.

    Thanks for the article though.
