Overview

Visit The National Institutes Of Health In The USA to provide an opportunity for junior Australian scientists to travel to the USA.

Eligibility Criteria for Visit To The National Institutes Of Health In The USA:

  • Scholarships are open to permanent residents of Australia.
  • Applicants must have the intention to pursue their Ph.D. in an Australian Institution.
  • Candidates who are in their first two years of the Ph.D. degree are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants who have obtained their Honours and Masters degrees can apply as well

Value: The successful candidate will receive a contribution of up to AUD 4,000 for direct return air travel between Australia and the host school, as well as an AUD 1,000 grant-in-aid from the AJBMF. In addition, the NIH host lab may provide a small daily stipend throughout the stay in America at their discretion.

Documents Required:

  • Interested candidates must submit a completed application form.
  • Applicant must provide valid proof of Australian citizenship.
  • He/She must submit any publications list.
  • Applicants must submit a copy of correspondence with the potential host at the NIH about the visit and the acceptance of the visit.
