Overview
The University of Sydney is inviting applications for postgraduate scholarship in contaminant hydrology. Applicants should have a background in theoretical and applied hydrology, eco-hydrology, and soil physics and be willing to learn the mathematical concepts needed to implement advanced computational tools. The scholarship is valued at $25,849 per annum (tax exempt and indexed annually) and may be renewed for up to three years, with a possible further extension of 6 months, subject to satisfactory progress. The scholarship is paid as a stipend on a fortnightly basis. This scholarship does not cover any tuition fees payable by international candidates although exceptional international applicants will be considered for a Fee Award.
Eligibility: Applicants should have a background in theoretical and applied hydrology, eco-hydrology, and soil physics and be willing to learn the mathematical concepts needed to implement advanced computational tools. Applicants must also be interested in multidisciplinary approaches to environmental engineering, which may include chemistry, biology, and computational sciences. Consideration will be given in order of priority to applicants who:
- Have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Science, Biology
- Can demonstrate a potential for research excellence.
- Have relevant experience and training. Applications are open to domestic and international students.
