Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship-Indigenous 2026

The Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES) at the University of Alberta supports outstanding graduate students, including international students, pursuing master's or doctoral studies in Alberta.

Eligibility for Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship- Indigenous 2026:

  • Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, protected persons, or international students with a study permit.
  • Applicants must be living in Alberta while enrolled at the University of Alberta.
  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an eligible master's or doctoral program.
  • Applicants must be registered in Fall 2026 and/or Winter 2027.
  • Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence.
  • Applicants must be within years 1–4 of a master's or years 1–6 of a doctoral program.

Application Process for the Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship-Indigenous 2026:

  • Applicants are nominated by their home faculty; students cannot apply directly for the regular AGES.
  • Applicants must complete the AGES Student Declaration Form and submit it to their faculty by the faculty's internal deadline.
  • Faculties select nominees and submit nominations to the Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a one-time payment of CAD 12,000.
