This Award was established in honor of the Foundation Professor of Physiology at the University of Auckland, Professor J D Sinclair, and to encourage doctoral studies in physiology.
Eligibility for J D Sinclair Postgraduate Award in Physiology 2024:
- The J D Sinclair Postgraduate Award in Physiology 2024 shall be made to candidates for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology at the University of Auckland based on outstanding performance in the thesis component of an Honours or Masters degree, the research for which was carried out under the supervision of a member of staff of the Department of Physiology at the University of Auckland.
Application Process:
Students do not need to apply for this scholarship, award, or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.
Value of J D Sinclair Postgraduate Award in Physiology 2024:
- One award will be made annually and will be of the value of NZD 3,000.
The J D Sinclair Postgraduate Award in Physiology 2024 shall be made by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Physiology. The Award will be paid in one lump sum. The University of Auckland Council shall not be bound to make the Award on any occasion if there is no candidate deemed worthy of it.
