Eligibility Criteria for Global Grand Challenges Studentships at Durham University:

Applicants must:

• Hold a first-class or upper second-class undergraduate degree or have equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrate strong academic ability and research potential
• Submit a high-quality and feasible PhD research proposal
• Propose research aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 13 Climate Action
• Demonstrate an interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary research approach
• Meet Durham University PhD entry requirements including English language proficiency
• Be able to hold an unconditional offer by the deadline if applying from outside the UK
• Not already be registered on a doctoral programme
• Not be in receipt of other full-time funding for the same period
• Not be in full-time employment during the studentship
