Eligibility for David Sainsbury Scholarships in Global Plant Health:
For a full MSc Scholarship:
- Hold an offer for the MSc in Global Plant Health at University of East Anglia.
- Be a national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country.
- Demonstrate strong academic background and relevant scientific knowledge.
- Show commitment to returning to their home country within five years to address plant health challenges.
For 50% Fee Scholarship:
- Hold an offer for the MSc in Global Plant Health at University of East Anglia
- Be from an upper-middle or high-income country (including the UK)
- Demonstrate strong academic merit and relevant subject knowledge
- Show intent to contribute to plant health challenges, particularly in lower-income countries.
Value of the David Sainsbury Scholarships in Global Plant Health:
Full MSc Scholarship:
- Full tuition fees covered (approx. £36,000 international / £16,000 UK).
- Maintenance stipend at UKRI postgraduate researcher level (around £20,780 in 2025–26, subject to update for 2026–27).
- £4,000 travel allowance (with receipts).
50% Fee Scholarship:
- Covers 50% of tuition fees (UK or international rate).
- May be reduced if other significant funding is received.
