Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship at the University of Warwick
The Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship (WUGES) is a prestigious, merit-based award for outstanding international students pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree at the University of Warwick. It recognises exceptional academic performance, achievements beyond academics, and the potential to make a positive global impact.
Eligibility Criteria of Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship:
- The applicant must be self-funded and classified as an overseas or international fee-paying student for tuition fee purposes.
- The applicant must have applied for a full-time undergraduate course (excluding the MBChB course) at the University of Warwick starting in Autumn 2026 before the UCAS deadline of 14 January 2026.
- The applicant must submit a scholarship application before 12:00 pm on 27th February 2026 (GMT) and hold an offer to study at Warwick by 13th May 2026.
Selection Criteria:
- The applicant must have a strong academic profile as reflected in their UCAS or IFP application and be classified as an overseas fee-paying student.
- The applicant must have submitted their application to the University of Warwick before 14 January 2026 and plan to begin studies in Autumn 2026.
- The applicant must be self-funded (not receiving a full tuition fee scholarship from another source) and provide strong, well-written answers in their scholarship application form.
Application Process:
- Eligible international applicants will be contacted with details to apply after setting up a Warwick IT account, which may take up to 48 hours to verify. The application form will have some pre-filled fields, and applicants will need to complete sections requiring additional information or statements.
- Applicants must answer five questions highlighting their academic and extracurricular achievements, motivation for choosing Warwick, potential contribution to the university community, and future goals. Each response should provide context (not just a list) and be within a 200-word limit, avoiding repetition of the personal statement.
Award:
- Up to 15 full tuition fee awards, 170 half-fee awards (50% tuition reduction), and 100 awards covering 25% of tuition fees.
- An additional GBP 2,000 award is available for students enrolled in the International Foundation Programme (IFP).
