Eligibility Criteria for Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship for South-East Asia 2026:

Applicants must:

Be citizens of one of the following South-East Asian countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar (Burma), Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam.
Be new international students.
Be applying to enrol full-time in an eligible programme at the University of Waikato.
Have received a conditional or unconditional Offer of Place from the University of Waikato.
Demonstrate excellent academic achievement, normally equivalent to at least a B+ average.

Value of Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship for South-East Asia 2026:

Up to NZD $15,000 towards tuition fees
