Eligibility criteria:

Applicants must:

  • Hold an offer for a full-time taught Master’s course at University of the Arts London starting in 2024
  • Be applying to an eligible qualification: Grad Dip, MArch, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes, or MSc
  • Be ordinarily resident in a qualifying low-income country (as per official list)
  • Have a household income of £25,000 or less.

Documents required:

  • Evidence such as a copy of your immigration documents, ID card, or formal proof of your address.
  • A personal statement as part of your scholarship application that responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question):
    • Describe how receiving a postgraduate scholarship would make a difference to you.
    • Tell how you intend to use the qualification you will be gaining to support your plans.
    • Describe how you would address challenges in your home country.
    • Tell how you would uphold the values of social justice and environmental stewardship.

Additional information:

Scholarships are awarded by a UAL selection panel, who make their decision based on the evidence provided in your application. If you have successful applications for more than one UAL award or scholarship, you must choose which of them you would like to receive, as you are only able to hold one at a time.

Value of the scholarship:

This scholarship covers the cost of tuition fees and accommodation at one of UAL’s halls of residence and may also contribute towards living costs. Up to 4 UAL International Postgraduate £50,000 scholarships are available.
