Overview:

Toshiba Nathan Godby Engineering Scholarship created to expand engineering and technology talent and provide UTS students with industry experience at Toshiba International Corporation Pty Ltd. The scholarship honors Nathan Godby, a UTS graduate and Toshiba employee with a passion for mechanical engineering.

Eligibility for Toshiba Nathan Godby Engineering Scholarship UTS:

• Citizenship/visa: Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident or humanitarian visa.
• Degree: Enrolled in Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice, or combined Engineering courses with Diploma.
• Major: Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical & Mechatronic Engineering.
• Academic performance: Minimum Credit average (WAM 65+).
• Professional practice: Enrolled in or completed Professional Practice Preparation, but not yet completed Professional Experience.

Selection process:

• Academic merit (WAM);
• Motivation to succeed in their studies and an Engineering career;
• Initiative to seek opportunities to continually advance their professional and personal lives;
• Interest in the power generation industry;
• Relevant technical expertise with an understanding of soft skills and teamworking behaviours.
