The Sorrell Scholars Award at Troy University 2025

Troy University is offering the Sorrell Scholars Awards to identify students with superior academics to pursue undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Economics, or Global Business. Through this award, five candidates will be named the Sorrell Scholars.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants can be of any nationality.
• Applicants must be undergraduates entering the 2024 Fall intake.
• Applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics, or Global Business.
• Applicants must exhibit superior academic standing.
• Applicants must have achieved the following scores:
  • ACT 30-32 /RSAT 1360-1440 or
  • ACT 33-36/RSAT 1450-1600.

Application Process:

• Interested candidates must apply online for the scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship:

• Selected candidates can avail of the following benefits:
  • USD 1,500 - USD 3,000 per academic year,
  • Confirmed internship after being admitted to the Sorrell College,
  • Opportunity to attend a Dean's Luncheon once per semester,
  • Guaranteed “seat” in the University’s MBA program upon completion of the undergraduate degree.
  • Early registration privileges for every registration period for courses,
  • will be named recipients of the Troy University Scholars Award, a scholarship that based on academic performance awards the following:
    • ACT 30-32 /RSAT 1360-1440: Tuition and traditional housing
    • ACT 33-36/RSAT 1450-1600: Tuition, full housing, and meal plan.

Note: The finalists will be invited to the annual awards dinner where the five Sorrell Scholars will be announced.
