The Sir Simon Robertson Scholarship at Imperial College London is a prestigious award aimed at supporting high-achieving students pursuing undergraduate studies, typically focusing on candidates with strong academic merit and leadership potential in their chosen field.
Eligibility Criteria of The Sir Simon Robertson Scholarship:
- The applicant must have an offer of admission from the College to study an undergraduate course in the Faculty of Engineering and possess Home fee status.
- The applicant must have been assessed for financial support through Student Finance England (SFE) or an equivalent funding authority, with a verified household income of less than GBP 70,000 per annum.
Selection Criteria: The Department you’ve applied to within the Faculty of Engineering will assess your academic merit based on your predicted A-Level results and UCAS application. Shortlisted applicants will be ranked by the Department, with final selection made by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
Application Process:
- The applicant must submit a student finance application and be ‘means-tested’ by Student Finance England (SFE) or an equivalent authority, with a verified household income of less than GBP 70,000 per annum confirmed to the College by 11:59 pm (UK time), Friday 29 May 2026.
- The applicant must submit a UCAS application for their course of study in the Faculty of Engineering and have an offer of admission by 11:59 pm (UK time), Friday 29 May 2026.
Award: The successful scholar will receive a cash bursary of GBP 8,000 per academic year, awarded for a maximum of 4 years, excluding any repeated years of study.
Note: The successful scholars will be expected to meet informally with the donors on occasion and submit a short annual progress statement to be shared with the donors. This award is for students starting in the 2026–27 academic year and cannot be deferred.
