Treis Scholarship at Imperial College London
The Treis Scholarship at Imperial College London is an undergraduate scholarship valued at £7,000 per year, specifically available to UK (Home) students entering select engineering programmes.
Eligibility Criteria of Treis Scholarship:
- The applicant must have a conditional firm or unconditional offer of admission to study an undergraduate course in one of the following eligible departments - Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Dyson School of Design Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, and must possess a Home fee status.
- The applicant must have been assessed for financial support through their local funding authority (SFE, SFW, SAAS, or SFNI) with a verified household income of less than GBP 70,000 per annum.
Selection Criteria: The Faculty will evaluate the applicant’s academic merit based on their UCAS application and predicted A-Level results to shortlist candidates. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit an essay during the week of 13th July 2026 and may subsequently be asked to attend an interview with Treis.
Application Process:
- The applicants must submit a student finance application and be ‘means-tested’ by Student Finance England (SFE) or an equivalent authority, with a verified household income of less than GBP 70,000 per annum confirmed by the deadline of 11:59 pm (UK local time), Friday 29th May 2026.
- They must also ensure consent is given to share household income details with the College and submit a UCAS application for an eligible course, holding an offer of admission by the same deadline.
Award: Cash bursary of GBP 7,000 per annum.
Note:
- The successful scholar may be expected to meet informally with the donors, participate in related events, or submit an annual progress statement to be shared with the donors.
- This award is available only for students starting in the 2026–27 academic year and cannot be deferred or awarded to continuing students.
