This scholarship was established in 2025 by Marion Walton, a Te Herenga Waka graduate. This scholarship supports students pursuing a Master’s in Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience, Forensic Psychology, or Clinical Psychology.
Eligibility Criteria of The Marion Walton Scholarship in Psychological Science:
- Applicants must be enrolled or intending to enrol in a Master’s degree in Psychological Science at Victoria University of Wellington.
- The focus of study should be in Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience, Forensic Psychology, or Clinical Psychology.
Selection Criteria: Selection will be made based on academic merit and financial hardship.

Note:
- Payment of the scholarship depends on the programme: for a Master of Science by thesis, it is split into two instalments across the year; for a Master of Science by coursework and thesis, it is paid in four equal instalments over two years at the start of each trimester.
- Recipients must write a thank-you letter to the donor within one month of receiving the scholarship and provide an end-of-year progress report to be shared with the donor.
