Student Opportunity Funding

Introduction: 

The Student Opportunity Funding provides financial support to eligible home undergraduate students experiencing unforeseen financial difficulties.

Eligibility criteria of Student Opportunity Funding: 

• The applicant must have received the maximum available support from the Student Loans Company.
• The applicant must be paying tuition fees of £9,790.
• The applicant must have a household income of £25,000 or less, or a household income of £35,000 or less and meet at least one of these criteria: care leaver, irreconcilably estranged, mature student, disabled, BAME background, carer, parent in the Armed Forces, or living in a low university participation area.

Application process for Student Opportunity Funding: 

• Complete the online application form and submit the required supporting documents, including the 2026/27 Student Finance Statement, the last 3 months' bank statements, tenancy agreement (if applicable), payslip (if applicable), and a completed student budget planner via email.
