Overview
Seed Fund for Research and Training is sponsored by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) for those who wish to contribute to the region's development through research and development. It provides enough funds for the candidates to carry out their research in the field of agriculture.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be Southeast Asian nationals.
- Applicants must be a graduates of at least a four-year degree course.
- Applicants should demonstrate financial need.
- Applicants who are alumni of the SEARCA Graduate Scholarship, faculty, and staff in member universities are preferred. OR
- Applicants who are regular staff members of government agencies or non-profit development-oriented institutions are given second consideration.
Application Process:
- Eligible candidates must register through the Grants Information System and apply along with the following documents:
- Letter of request which should be addressed to the SEARCA Director.
- Official endorsement from the employer (if employed).
- Budget requirement for the entire project proposal.
- Letter from the applicant certifying that he/she is not receiving any other research grant from any other institution.
- Research timetable indicating the activities involved in the research and the expected completion date.
Value of the Award:
- Selected candidates are awarded a sum of up to USD 15,000.
