Overview

In honor of the University of Tasmania's 125th anniversary, Rhonda Ewart established the Rhonda Ewart Honours Scholarship in Dementia Care scholarship in 2015. Its purpose is to provide an honors scholarship that will always be given to a student pursuing an honors program in dementia care with the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Center at the University of Tasmania.

Eligibility for Rhonda Ewart Honours Scholarship in Dementia Care:

  • Applicants must be Australian nationals.
  • Accessible to a student starting an Honors research course (M4G or M4N) in Semester 1, 2027, under the supervision of the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Center, on a subject related to dementia.
  • The applicant must be enrolled in the College of Health and Medicine's Tasmanian School of Medicine.
  • The applicant must obtain at least a passing grade in each of their honors degree's components.
  • The applicant must exhibit good academic standing.
  • The applicant must demonstrate financial need.
  • To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicants should apply for the College of Health and Medicine Honours Scholarships.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a sum of AUD 7,000.
