Overview

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicant must be a domestic or international candidate. "Domestic" includes candidates with Australian citizenship, Australian permanent residency, or New Zealand citizenship.
  • Applicants must meet Deakin's PhD entry requirements
  • Applicants must be enrolling full-time and hold an honours degree (first class) or an equivalent standard master's degree with a substantial research component.

Application process:

To apply, submit the following documents to Dr. James Gong:

  • Expression of interest
  • CV (including names and contact details of at least two referees)
  • Academic transcript (including grading scale and evidence of completion) 

Benefits:

  • Stipend of $34,400 per annum
  • Tuition fees are offset for the duration of 4 years. Single Overseas Student Health Cover policy for the duration of the student visa (only for international students)
