Overview

Deakin University and The George Institute for Global Health are partners in the Healthy Food, Healthy Planet, Healthy People NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence (CRE), a sizable research grant that aims to address the impact of food on human and planetary health by offering comprehensive evidence to support the systemic changes required for meaningful transformation of food systems.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicant must be either a domestic or international candidate. "Domestic" includes candidates with Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or New Zealand Citizenship.
  • Applicant must meet Deakin's PhD entry requirements.
  • Applicant must be enrolling full-time and hold an honours degree (first class) or an equivalent standard master's degree with a substantial research component.

Benefits:

  • Stipend of $33,500 per annum
  • Relocation allowance of $500-1500 (for single to family) for students moving from interstate
  • Tuition fees are offset for the duration of 4 years. Single Overseas Student Health Cover policy for the duration of the student visa (only for international students)
