Overview

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or a permanent resident.
  • The applicant must meet PhD admission requirements, including:
    • An Australian Honours degree (Class 1 or 2A) or an equivalent qualification (at least AQF Level 8) with a research component of at least 6 months’ full-time study achieving a Distinction (75%), or
    • Evidence of equivalent research experience, such as a first-author refereed publication or experience as an investigator on a competitive grant.
  • The applicant must be available to begin full-time PhD studies at Flinders University in Semester 2, 2025.

Application Process:

  • Prospective applicants should contact the project Lead Investigator, Dr. Feargal Ryan, via email feargal.ryan@flinders.edu.au before submitting their application.
  • The admission application and scholarship application are separate processes; applications for admission must be submitted electronically.
  • The successful candidate is expected to begin by January 2025, with a latest start date of April 2025, subject to negotiation.
