Mark Lyons Not-for-Profit and Social Enterprise Management Scholarship at University of Technology Sydney 2026

The scholarship aims to improve the quality of leadership and management skills in the Australian not-for-profit sector. By investing in the leadership and management capacities in this sector, it is hoped that the scholarship will also contribute to the promotion of community well-being; to overcoming disadvantage; and to developing the values and skills that strengthen Australian democracy.

Eligibility for Mark Lyons Not-for-Profit and Social Enterprise Management Scholarship UTS 2026:

  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; and
  • For the duration of the Scholarship: full-time or part-time enrolment in one of the following eligible courses:
    • Master of Social Impact and Not-for-Profit Management; or
    • Master of Social Impact and Not-for-Profit Management (Extension); or
  • A UTS Business School Research degree focusing on not-for-profit sector-related research; and
  • For Coursework students only:
    • Must have completed a minimum of 12 credit points of study in the Master of Social Impact and Not-for-Profit Management; and
    • Have achieved a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 75%; and
  • Must disclose any other scholarships, awards, or organisational affiliations beyond UTS; and
  • All candidates must be available to attend an interview in person.

Selection process for Mark Lyons Not-for-Profit and Social Enterprise Management Scholarship UTS 2026:

  • Motivation and commitment to pursue study/research in the area of Social Impact and Not-for-Profit Management,
  • Demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life, 
  • Potential for the receipt of the Scholarship to assist the student in their studies, 
  • Financial disadvantage and other educational barriers may be taken into consideration. Students wishing to evidence these criteria can fill in the UAC Equity.
