Margaret Nielsen Music Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 2024

The Margaret Nielsen Music Scholarship is aimed at first-year Bachelor of Music (BMus) students majoring in Classical Musical Performance at the New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University of Wellington. It is awarded based on musical ability and financial need, with preference given to students studying specific instruments nominated by the Head of School.

Eligibility for Margaret Nielsen Music Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington:

• Candidates must be enrolled full-time at the New Zealand School of Music for an undergraduate degree.
• Applicants must be BMus students specializing in Classical Musical Performance and be in their first year of study.
• Candidates must be facing financial hardship.

Value of the Scholarship :

• The scholarship offers a value of NZD 1,000, subject to available funds.
• It is awarded for one year.
• Preference may be given to a student studying a particular instrument or instruments nominated by the Head of School.

Application Process:

• Applicants must complete an online application by 4:30 pm on the closing date.
• Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
• Required supporting documentation, including references, must also be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date.
