The Swansea University International Postgraduate Research Excellence Scholarship (SUIPRES) is a competitively awarded scholarship scheme open to overseas PhD and Professional Doctorate applicants who are eligible for the international rate of tuition fees and can demonstrate excellence in academic achievement.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be applying for an eligible PhD or Professional Doctorate program at Swansea University.
  • Applicants must have achieved, or expecting to achieve, a 1st class or 2:1 UK undergraduate degree (or equivalent international qualification) and/or a Distinction in a UK master's degree (or international equivalent)
  • Applicants must be international students.

Application process:

  • Apply for an eligible PhD or Professional Doctorate program. 
  • Indicate interest in the application form to be considered for a SUIPRES scholarship.
  • Outline in the supporting statement your academic track record, as well as other activities that may be relevant (prizes awarded, outreach activities, teaching experience, etc.)
