Overview
The main purpose of the Academic Career Advancement Award at the University of Auckland 2025 is to enable doctoral students with strong academic leadership potential to enroll in the Academic Career Advancement Programme.
Eligibility Criteria for the Academic Career Advancement Award at University of Auckland 2025:
- Have their doctoral candidature confirmed before 1 February in the year of the award.
- Be enrolled full-time at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
- Have a maximum thesis submission date on or after 30 November in the year of the award.
- Have achieved a GPA/GPE of 6.00 or above in the qualifying programme for doctoral entry (if applicable).
- Where the qualifying program is pass/fail and entirely thesis-based, a GPA may be generated.
- Be able to demonstrate academic merit and academic leadership potential, and provide:
- a reference from the main supervisor,
- and a statement of proposed academic career plans.
Value of Academic Career Advancement Award at University of Auckland 2025:
Awards will be granted annually, each for a duration of one year, covering the costs of the Academic Career Advancement Programme.
