Eligibility Criteria of the GREAT Scholarships for Malaysian Students 2026:

Applicants must:

• Be a passport holder and permanent resident of Malaysia.
• Hold an undergraduate degree, be academically motivated, and have a genuine interest in the proposed subject area.
• Meet the English language requirements of the UK higher education institution (HEI) they are applying to.
• Be willing to engage with the UK as a scholar through personal and academic activities during their study.
• Be willing to attend a networking event for all UK‑based GREAT Scholars to share experiences and discuss studying in the UK.
• Be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI, acting as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships.
• As an alumnus, be willing to occasionally speak to prospective candidates about their experience of studying in the UK.

Value of the GREAT Scholarships for Malaysian Students 2026:

£10,000 towards tuition fees for a one‑year taught postgraduate course in the UK. 

Application Process:

• Apply for individual scholarships following the instructions given on each universities’ scholarship webpages.
