Overview

The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Maharashtra, launched Government Research Adhichatra, Maharashtra 2024/25 to help students who have finished their postgraduate courses and want to pursue a Ph.D. financially. The chosen students will receive a scholarship worth INR 750 a month plus an extra INR 1,000 yearly to help with other costs.

Eligibility Criteria for  Government Research Adhichatra, Maharashtra 2025:

  • Students need to be domiciled in Maharashtra.
  • Students should have secured 60% marks in postgraduation [B.A/B.Sc/B.Ed and MA/MSC/M.Ed] and below 60% marks for any other degree.

Students must be studying in one of the following institutions in Maharashtra:

  • Govt. Science Institute (Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad),
  • Govt. Vidarbha Gyan Vidnyan Science Institute (Amravati)
  • Vasant Rao Naik Mahavidyalaya College (Nagpur),
  • Universities and affiliated colleges

Application Process:

Students need to submit an application form ONLINE only.

  • Domicile certificate
  • Name of the guide of the students
  • Sanction letter of the University for the guide
  • Graduation and Postgraduation mark sheet

Benefits:

Students will receive a scholarship amount of Rs. 750/- per month and Rs.1000/- per year for other expenses.
