Lauder Nursing Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 

This scholarship was established through a bequest from Bruce Lauder in memory of his sister, Janet Lauder. This scholarship supports postgraduate nursing students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington conducting research in public or community health, covering research-related expenses or fees.

Eligibility Criteria of Lauder Nursing Scholarship:

1. Open to Master’s or PhD students from the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Practice conducting research in public or community health.
2. Preference is given to full-time students, though part-time students are also eligible.

Selection Criteria:

1. Applicants must be registered nurses enrolled in a Master’s by thesis or PhD in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Practice, with research focused on public or community health.
2. Selection is based on academic merit and financial need, with preference given to applicants of Māori or Polynesian descent.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. 

Award: NZD 5,000.

1. Recipients must write a letter of thanks to the donor of this scholarship.
2. This scholarship is a biennial scholarship.
