FAEA Scholarship 2023/24

FAEA is accepting applications for scholarships for the academic year 2023-24. These scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate studies in various disciplines such as arts, commerce, science, medicine, engineering, and other technical and professional fields at any university, institution, or college in India.

Eligibility for the FAEA Scholarship:

• Students must have passed Class XII from a recognized board in India.
• Applicants must be 1st-year undergraduate students.
• Students whose Class XII results are not declared need to apply after the declaration of results.
• Students who belong to socially and economically weaker sections of society are encouraged to apply.

Important Instructions:

• Upon successful completion of the online application form, you will receive a 9-digit auto-generated "Confirmation Code" for future correspondence with FAEA.
• Please refrain from sending any documents or certificates during the initial application stage.
• If shortlisted in the preliminary selection, you will be notified to attend an interview. Ensure to bring original documents at this stage.
• Failure to attend the interview and present original documents will lead to disqualification from the scholarship.
• Incomplete application forms will not be considered.

References:

Candidates should choose at least one person out of the 2 given options who is known to them extremely well and has been in a position to observe and evaluate their work skills and academic ability. At least one of the referees must be from a formal academic institution. FAEA shall write to the referees directly if you are short-listed to appear for the interview.

Policy Guidelines:

Study Location:

• Scholars can choose any university or institution in India that fits their educational needs.

Duration and Renewal:

• Scholarships can last up to five years, subject to annual renewal based on progress and fund availability.
• Full-time enrollment in a formal degree program is mandatory.

Financial Support:

• Scholars must disclose additional financial support, influencing potential adjustments in award amounts.
• Non-disclosure can lead to the withdrawal of BHEL-FAEA Scholarships.

Deferment:

• Deferments of up to one year are possible for personal reasons, with proper documentation.

Progress Monitoring:

• Scholars are expected to excel, providing annual results and periodic progress reports to the FAEA office.

Funds Disbursement:

• Direct disbursement of funds to Scholars, excluding tuition and related fees paid directly to the educational institution.
• On-campus housing and meal plans are encouraged.

Award Amount:

• FAEA determines awards within budgetary guidelines, covering the full cost of proposed study plans up to five years.

Travel:

• Second-class travel for the interview is provided, with reimbursement for one accompanying person for female candidates.

Benefits:

• Tuition fee.
• Maintenance allowance or hostel/mess charges.
• Other allowances to cover travel, clothing, and book purchases as per our norms.

Selection Process:

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews across India in the metropolitan city. Thereafter, a national panel will make the final selection and results will be declared. The support granted shall be subject to the candidate being accepted by the host university/institution/college.
