The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is happy to provide many research grants to deserving individuals from the UK and abroad who are looking to pursue PhD studies at the University. The university accepts applications in every field.

Eligibility for Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Doctoral Scholarships at Lancaster University:

  • Applications may come from any nationality.
  • Applicants must have an offer of admission to a postgraduate doctorate program in any department within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
  • Applicants must be commencing their studies in the 2024–25 academic year.
  • For applicants who are Black, Asian, or Ethnic Minority who have UK home status, two scholarships are set aside.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must complete and submit the Faculty Doctoral Scholarship Application Form 2025-26 to be considered for the scholarship.
