Overview
The Leverhulme Trust is providing approximately 100 Early Career Fellowships to early career researchers to undertake a significant piece of publishable work.
Eligibility Criteria for The Leverhulme Trust - Early Career Fellowship :
- Applicants may come from any nationality.
- Applicants who obtained a UK degree after October 2024 are not eligible.
- Applicants must not yet have held a full-time permanent academic post in a UK university or comparable UK institution.
- Applicants pursuing a doctorate must submit their doctoral thesis for viva voce examination before the application deadline.
- Applicants who held or currently hold postdoctoral positions to pursue their own independent research totalling 3 or more years do not qualify.
- All topic areas will accept applications, except:
- Research on illness, disease, and disability in both people and animals
- research aimed at developing medical uses or guiding clinical practice
Application Process :
All eligible candidates must apply online via the Leverhulme Trust Grants Management System.
Value of the Fellowship :
- 50% of each Fellow's total salary costs up to a maximum of £28,000 p.a. will be covered by the Leverhulme Trust and the balance is paid by the host institution.
- To further their research activities, candidates may request annual research expenses of up to £6,000.
