Doctoral Grants, Institut Pasteur International Network 2024

The Institut Pasteur Department of International Affairs allocates funding to promote and facilitate the realization of theses of researchers primarily from low- and middle-income countries,  in an institute within the Pasteur Network outside France.

Doctoral grants aim to promote mobility opportunities for young scientists. The doctoral internship should therefore be completed outside their home country or the country where they attended university.

Doctoral students should be enrolled at the doctoral school to which the host laboratory is affiliated, which can belong to a university in France or abroad.

Eligibility

• Candidates must look for a full-time PhD position in one of the Pasteur Network's member institutions. They should be qualified to register for a Ph.D. program at any university, regardless of location.
•  Submissions of proposals must be in line with the call's focus areas.
• Applications must be submitted online, in either French or English, by the deadline.
• The proposed projects ought to span the full three-year PhD program.
• All nationalities are qualified.
• It is advantageous to have demonstrated geographic mobility.
• Already completed PhD programs are not eligible.
• Applications from PhD students whom the Pasteur Network has hosted for fewer than three years are not accepted.

Value: The grants are a fixed amount of €75,000 for 36 months, covering various aspects such as the Ph.D. student’s salary, mobility, courses, publication costs
