DCT x AUT Global Exchange Scholarship Sem 1 2027:
The DCT x AUT Global Exchange Scholarship is offered by the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies (DCT) in collaboration with AUT Global to support DCT students undertaking an international exchange experience at an AUT Global partner university. The scholarship aims to increase opportunities for DCT students to participate in outbound exchange programmes and gain valuable international academic and cultural experience.
Eligibility Criteria for the DCT x AUT Global Exchange Scholarship Sem 1 2027:
- Applicant must have a confirmed nomination offer to attend an AUT Global partner institution.
- Applicant must be enrolled full-time at AUT in a programme within the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies (DCT).
- Applicant must have completed at least one year of full-time undergraduate study, or equivalent, by the commencement of the exchange semester.
- Applicant must be enrolled in one of the following eligible programmes:
- Bachelor of Design
- Bachelor of Visual Arts
- Bachelor of Construction
- Bachelor of Architecture and Future Environments
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering Technology
- Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences
- Bachelor of Communication Studies
- Applicant must meet the academic requirements of the AUT Global exchange programme.
- Applicant must normally have a minimum GPA of 5.0 for consideration for the exchange programme.
- Applicant with a GPA between 4.5 and 4.99 may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Applicant must maintain the required GPA until the exchange begins.
Application Process for the DCT x AUT Global Exchange Scholarship Sem 1 2027:
- Applicant must apply through the AUT online scholarship application portal.
- Applicant must upload a written statement of no more than two pages addressing:
- How the international exchange experience will benefit the applicant personally and academically.
- How the applicant would represent AUT while participating in the AUT Global exchange programme.
- How the applicant plans to finance the exchange semester.
- Any financial circumstances that would make it difficult to undertake an overseas exchange without scholarship support.
- Applicant may include financial circumstances such as personal or family financial circumstances, access to financial support, employment commitments, and the overall affordability of undertaking the exchange without scholarship assistance.
Value of the Scholarship:
- The scholarship provides financial assistance towards the costs associated with overseas study through an approved AUT Global exchange programme.
- Scholarships are available for amounts between NZD 3,000 and NZD 5,000.
- The number of scholarships available is limited by a capped budget.
Notes:
- Recipients may receive this scholarship only once.
- Recipients may hold this scholarship concurrently with other non-exchange-related scholarships or awards, provided the regulations of the other scholarship, award, or grant permit this and approval is obtained from the University Scholarships Office.
- Recipients must declare all other scholarships, awards, or grants for which they will receive payment alongside this scholarship to the University Scholarships Office.
- Recipients must complete an AUT Global blog template upon returning to AUT.
- Recipients must provide a selection of photographs from their exchange semester upon request for use on social media to promote AUT Global and the exchange destination.
