Overview

The government of the Republic of Lithuania is offering scholarships for short-term studies in Lithuania for students of higher education institutions in any field of study from eligible countries only.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship for Short-Term Studies in Lithuania 2025:

  • Applicants must be from the following nations:
    • Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan,
    • Canada, China (People’s Republic of China and Taiwan),
    • India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, New Zealand, Philippines
    • South Korea, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, the USA, and Vietnam
    • And foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin from non-EU and non-EFTA countries.
  • Applicants must receive official approval of acceptance from the chosen Lithuanian HEI.
  • Applicants must be students of a higher education institution in the particular country mentioned.
  • Applicants must have good knowledge of Lithuanian, English, or another language required to study the chosen study program.
  • Applicants who have already received funding under this instrument are not eligible.
  • Applicants must demonstrate English Language requirements.

Value of the Scholarship:

  • Candidates in the first and second study cycles who are authorized for short-term studies will get a monthly scholarship of EUR 592. 
  • Candidates of the third study cycle will receive a monthly scholarship of EUR 1184.
