AUT School Leaver Scholarships 2025

Scholarship Categories & Eligibility Criteria (Eligibility Value)

• Academic Excellence: 
  • High academic achievement.
• All Rounder:
  • Contribution at a high level to school or community;
  • leadership positions or involvement in cultural or sports activities at a representative level.
• Kiwa:
  • Māori and Pacific students demonstrating all-round ability and leadership potential.
  • Applicants must declare Māori or Pacific descent.
• Hiki Ake (Lift Up):
  • Students facing financial hardship or personal disadvantages affecting tertiary study potential.

Eligibility:

• High achieving secondary school students from outside Auckland intending to enrol in a bachelor’s degree at AUT for Semester One.

 
Benefits & Amount of Award (Benefit)

• Accommodation (First year of study).
• Tuition Fee Contribution (For the first year and possibly subsequent years, depending on eligibility).

 Tenure of Scholarships (Benefit)

• Scholarships are awarded for up to three years, contingent upon satisfactory academic progress.
   

Application Process 

• Applicants can apply for all eligible categories. The application requires detailed personal and academic information, as well as declaration of leadership roles or cultural and sporting involvements.
