AUT International Scholarship Semester 1 2027:
The AUT International Scholarship supports and recognises high-achieving international students commencing eligible undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
Eligibility Criteria for the AUT International Scholarship Semester 1 2027:
- Applicant must be a new full-fee-paying international student.
- Applicant must be a citizen of an eligible country or territory from the following regions:
- South Asia: Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives
- Southeast Asia: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam
- North Asia: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea
- Europe: Any country from the European continent
- Applicant must hold a current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study an eligible AUT programme commencing in Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2027.
Application Process for the AUT International Scholarship Semester 1 2027:
- Applicant must submit the required scholarship application through the AUT scholarship application process.
- Applicant must provide:
- A current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study an eligible AUT programme commencing in Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2027.
- A detailed academic transcript for the most recent qualification, including the grading scale.
- A completion certificate, such as a bachelor's degree certificate or senior secondary school results.
- Their AUT student ID in the designated section of the application form.
- Applicant must upload all required documentation by the closing date. Applications with missing documentation may be considered ineligible.
- Applicant must declare whether they have applied for other scholarships, both internally through AUT and externally, such as government scholarships.
Selection Process:
- A selection committee comprising representatives from the AUT International Office and/or Faculty will assess applications.
- Applications will be shortlisted and awarded by AUT based on the recommendation of the selection committee.
- The applicant's country of origin may be considered to align with AUT's strategic aims.
- Applicant's academic achievement will be taken into consideration.
- Selection will take place fortnightly until available places are filled.
Value of the Scholarship:
- Undergraduate Scholarships
- NZD10,000 contribution towards tuition fees for the first year of study in a bachelor's degree programme.
- Postgraduate Scholarships
- NZD 7,000 contribution towards tuition fees for the first year of postgraduate study in a master's degree programme.
- The scholarship also applies to Postgraduate Certificates or Postgraduate Diplomas leading to a master's degree.
- Doctoral programmes are excluded.
Notes:
- Applicants who have previously studied at AUT are not eligible.
- Applicants who are applying for a higher-level programme after completing a previous AUT qualification are also not eligible. For example, an AUT bachelor's degree graduate applying for a master's programme cannot apply.
- Students who have already commenced studies at AUT are not eligible.
- The scholarship is available for programmes commencing in Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2027.
