AMSA Sara Bool Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship

The AMSA Sara Bool Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship was established in memory of Sara Bool, a dedicated AMSA staff member and passionate supporter of the maritime community, as well as AMSA’s vision and mission.

Eligibility criteria for the AMSA Sara Bool Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship:

• Applicants must be female students or identify as female.
• Applicants must be entering Year 3 of the Bachelor of Maritime Engineering (Specialisation) with Honours in Semester 1, 2027.
• Selection is based on academic merit.
• Applicants must demonstrate an aspiration to work in the maritime industry.
• Applicants must have career goals aligned with AMSA’s vision and mission.
• Preference is given to students undertaking the Naval Architecture stream.
• Successful applicants may have the opportunity to undertake a work placement with AMSA during their studies.

Application process for the AMSA Sara Bool Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship:

• Applicants must apply online before the closing date.
• Recipients must be willing to complete pre- and post-scholarship surveys.
• Recipients must achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

Award: AUD 5,000 per year
