The Centerra Gold and Royal Gold Community Award at the University of Northern British Columbia supports undergraduate students pursuing education and careers related to the mining industry and sustainable development, with preference for environmental, science, and engineering fields.

Eligibility Criteria for the Centerra Gold and Royal Gold Community Award at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

Applicants must be enrolled or enrolling in an undergraduate program at UNBC.
Preference is given to students in Environmental Science, Science, or Engineering programs.
Applicants must demonstrate satisfactory academic standing.
Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic standing for renewal.
Additional preference is given to applicants from the following communities:
McLeod Lake Indian Band, Nak'azdli Whut’en, Takla Nation, Fort St. James, Vanderhoof, Mackenzie, Fraser Lake, Prince George, Halfway River First Nation, West Moberly First Nation, Yekooche First Nation
