The above scholarship is provided by the German Academic Exchange Service which is Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) in German. The scholarship is awarded to students wanting to pursue a master’s course in the field of Architecture. The scholarship is open to all nationals except German nationals and can be taken at Universities in Germany. The duration of the scholarship is between 10-24 months depending on the length of the course of the student.

Scholarship value: The scholarship offers 861 Euros per month, travel allowance, health, accident, and personal liability insurance, and one study-off allowance. 2.  DAAD - Study Scholarships For Foreign Graduates in Germany, 2022

This scholarship provides international applicants an opportunity to complete their master's/postgraduate education in the field of performing arts. The funding is usually for 10-24 months depending on the length of the course. To stand a chance of winning this scholarship, you will need to upload all the relevant documents according to the requirement of the scholarship, and then you will be informed if you are selected for the scholarship. Scholarship value: The following are the benefits provided by the scholarship:

  • A payment of 861 euros monthly

  • Monthly rent subsidy

Deadline: The applicants can apply for the scholarship before 2/11/2022 and the funding will begin from October 2023. 

3. The Heinrich Böll Foundation awards scholarships

The Heinrich Boll foundation scholarship is provided to both domestic as well as international students to complete their masters. To avail this scholarship, the students will have to provide evidence of completion of a bachelor’s degree and take admission into a University of Germany recognized by the state. The students should also be proficient in Germany and provide a level B2 or DSH2 German language proficiency certificate.

Scholarship value: The scholarship will provide students with 934 Euros per month along with other benefits like individual allowances, and health insurance and may also provide tuition fees in certain cases.

Deadline: The deadline for the scholarship is 1st of march and the 1st of September. The applications for the scholarship open 6 months prior to the deadline.

4. The Deutschlandstipendium at the University of Stuttgart

The above scholarship is awarded to students who are in their graduation or have completed it with excellent grades. Apart from academic excellence the scholarship also considers soft achievements like volunteering and social or political engagement. Usually, the scholarship is for 1 year, but you can also extend it by requesting through the application form. 

Scholarship value: The scholarship offers 300 Euros per month as a stipend.

Deadline: The application will open in the month of January 2023 and hence the deadline will be given with it.

5. Merit scholarships for international students enrolled at Universität Hamburg

The Universitat Hamburg scholarship is for academically excellent students or doctoral researchers. Under this scholarship, the applicant is free to choose any degree level with any of the courses that he/she wants to pursue. The scholarship is for international applicants only and so German nationals cannot apply for this scholarship. The students applying for this scholarship should at least be in the second semester and in the case of master's or Ph.D. they can apply in their first semester. The applicants for this scholarship are not eligible for the federal loan scheme.

Scholarship value: The maximum fund that can be provided per month is 850 Euros. Doctoral researchers may be awarded 1000 Euros per month. Usually, the scholarship is for 2 semesters i.e 1 year but can be extended for a maximum of 3 years.

Deadline: There are two different deadlines to apply for the scholarship. The first one is April 15 and the funding period ranges from 1 October to 30 September. The second one is on 15 October and the funding period ranges from 1 April to 31 March.
