SEMO International Achievement Award Beginning Freshmen 2024

International Achievement Award Beginning freshmen are offered by Southeast Missouri State University for international students. Scholarship recipients must maintain full-time enrollment each semester and be able to demonstrate lawful presence in the US. Incoming students who have earned less than 24 credit hours of college credit are only eligible for freshmen awards, while those who have earned 24 or more credit hours are only eligible for transfer awards.

Eligibility for the International Achievement Award Beginning freshmen:

• Students are ineligible if awarded a scholarship intended to cover tuition & fees from any outside or institutional sources.
• Students are ineligible for all international scholarships if they become Missouri Residents for fee-paying purposes or receive the Nonresident Alumni Award.
• Undergraduate/graduate awards apply only to a first bachelor's/master's degree.
• Applicants need to have a 3.25+ cumulative high school GPA.

Note: This scholarship covers the difference between the nonresident tuition and in-state tuition rates. Students are not charged the in-state rate, but instead receive a financial aid credit to offset the nonresident tuition rate. The actual value varies based on enrollment; the estimate shown is based on 15 hours per semester (fall/spring). The value varies based on actual enrollment and will be reduced to less than 15 hours per semester.
