Overview
The University of Idaho is pleased to provide two yearly scholarships, renewable for a maximum of four years of study, with a tuition value of 50% at the time of initial enrollment. The scholarships are available to first-year international students who have been admitted to the University of Idaho to pursue an undergraduate degree. They cannot be coupled with scholarships from Invitation to Idaho.
Eligibility for the YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship at the University of Idaho:
- Applicants must identify as international students.
- Applicants must be new entrants enrolling in an undergraduate program at the university.
- Applicants must have attended their secondary school outside the US.
- Applicants must have demonstrated interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.
Application Process:
- All eligible candidates must complete and submit the #YouAreWelcomeHere application to be considered for the scholarship.
- Applicants must submit a written response to a 500 to 1000-word essay or a video presentation, spanning two to five minutes, detailing their ambitions to engage in projects, research, employment, or other relevant experiences aimed at promoting intercultural learning.
Value of the Scholarship:
50% tuition at the time of initial matriculation.
