YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship at University of Idaho 2024

The University of Idaho is pleased to provide two yearly scholarships, renewable for a maximum of four years of study, with a tuition value of 50% at the time of initial enrollment. The scholarships are available to first-year international students who have been admitted to the University of Idaho to pursue an undergraduate degree. They cannot be coupled with scholarships from Invitation to Idaho. Selected candidates will be committed to overcoming cultural barriers to spread the #YouAreWelcomeHere message. A 500–to 1000-word essay or a two–to five-minute video describing the applicant's leadership abilities and suggestions for applying those abilities to promote intercultural learning and understanding at the University of Idaho will be accepted.

Eligibility for the YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship at the University of Idaho:

• Students should be international applicants to the University of Idaho in their first year.
• Applicants should participate in or have completed secondary education outside of the United States.
• Applicants should show enthusiasm for and self-motivation toward intercultural learning and exchange activities.
• Students must apply for a scholarship together with a 500–to 1000-word essay or a two to five-minute video explaining their goals for working on projects, doing research, finding jobs, or engaging in other activities that would promote intercultural learning. Application Process:

The candidate needs to fill out an application form to apply for the scholarship.

Value of the scholarship: 

50% tuition at the time of initial matriculation.
