Heinz College Yellow Ribbon Program

Eligibility criteria:

• To participate in the Heinz College Yellow Ribbon Program, veterans must have 100% eligibility under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
• This eligibility is determined by the VA certifying official at Carnegie Mellon.
• Only veterans with full Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits can benefit from this program, which helps cover the costs beyond what is provided by the GI Bill.

Application Process:

• Once your eligibility for the Post-9/11 GI Bill is determined by the VA certifying official at Carnegie Mellon, the Office of Financial Aid at Carnegie Mellon will calculate the amount of Yellow Ribbon eligibility you qualify for.
• This calculation involves subtracting the amount of Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits from your actual costs, including tuition, fees, and university health insurance.
• The final award is subject to an institutional maximum participation amount that is determined annually by Carnegie Mellon.
