The purpose of the William McIlrath Rural Scholarship is to support and encourage students from rural and suburban areas to enroll in the University of New England's undergraduate program full-time.
Eligibility for William McIlrath Rural Scholarship:
- The applicant must be an Australian citizen
- Academic Requirement: New students must have an ATAR/UAC Ranking of at least 80 or a comparable score.
- Financial Drawback: As stated in the Supporting Documentation/Required Information section below, the applicant must be able to prove their financial necessity.
- Geographic Requirements: According to the Government Remoteness Tool, the applicant's permanent home location must be either regional or remote (ASGS Remoteness Areas 2-5).

- The University of New England Scholarship/s Application Form is the application to be submitted for the William McIlrath Rural Scholarship.
