Wellington Pasifika Doctoral Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington

These scholarships aim to encourage and support both domestic and international Pasifika students to pursue doctoral studies at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, fostering academic excellence and Pasifika representation in research.

Eligibility Criteria of Wellington Pasifika Doctoral Scholarship:

1. Open to all domestic Pasifika candidates intending to enrol in a Doctorate at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
2. Applicants are automatically considered for the scholarship when applying for admission.

Selection Criteria: Applicants must apply for admission to a doctoral programme at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Application Process: 

1. Applications are assessed year-round; contact the Doctoral Admissions Office at pg-research@vuw.ac.nz for application details.
2. General information about doctoral study is available on the Wellington Faculty of Graduate Research website.

Award:  NZD 32,000 stipend annually plus tuition fees.

Note: 

1. Full-time students receive a NZD 32,000 tax-free annual stipend for three years, plus tuition fees and student levies; part-time scholarships are prorated.
2. The stipend is paid in monthly instalments, starting after enrolment confirmation.
3. Tuition fees and levies are paid directly to the University by the Scholarships Office.
