Eligibility Criteria for Shimon Weinroth Prize in Poetry at University of Auckland 2026:
Applicants must:
- Produce the best piece of poetry demonstrating focus and commitment to writing poetry.
- Meet one of the following academic conditions in the year of consideration:
- Be awarded a PhD in Creative Practice with a focus on poetry, OR
- Achieve a B+ or higher in the Master of Creative Writing (with a focus on poetry), OR
- Complete a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) specialising in poetry (with a B+ or higher), OR
- Complete a Stage 3 course specializing in poetry (with a B+ or higher).
Value of the Shimon Weinroth Prize in Poetry at University of Auckland 2026:
The annual value of the Prize will be $600.
