Weis HDR Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland
The Weis HDR Scholarship, generously funded by Unilever Australia, supports Higher Degree Research students tackling innovative problems in agribusiness, agriculture, food innovation, and supply chains. The scholarship aims to foster new knowledge and novel approaches in food and food business.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours, or equivalent level, and be currently enrolled in the PhD program at UniSQ.
- The applicant must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident, and be studying in one of the listed areas or a closely aligned field.
Selection Criteria:
- Alignment with the scholarship priority areas and academic merit, including previous research outputs and experience of the applicant.
- Research track record of the proposed supervisory team and quality of the research proposal.
Application Process:
- Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
- Curriculum vitae, Preliminary Research Thesis Topic Proposal (DOC 78KB), and a cover letter detailing the applicant’s preferred award (stipend or travel scholarship) with reasoning and intended use of funds.
- Education qualifications (testamur and academic transcripts for all undergraduate and postgraduate awards), list of research presentations/publications, and documentation confirming citizenship.
Award: A top-up stipend scholarship of $5,000 per year or a travel support scholarship of $5,000 per year.
