Overview
The U.S. Embassy in Algiers is happy to announce that the competition for the 2025–2026 Fulbright Foreign Student Program is now open. Algerian students can study at the graduate level in the US thanks to the Fulbright Program. In addition, participants get the exceptional chance to interact with Americans and explore American culture and customs. Academic quality, leadership potential, and the capacity to adapt to American culture are all considered throughout the open, merit-based selection process. Every Fulbrighter who is accepted into the program joins a global network of enthusiastic, committed Fulbright graduates.
Eligibility for U.S. Embassy Algiers Fulbright Foreign Student Program:
- The applicant needs to be an Algerian citizen or a permanent resident with the ability to carry an Algerian passport.
- Neither green card holders nor citizens of the United States may apply.
- For the duration of the application, selection, and placement processes, applicants must reside in the nominating location.
- (Optional): The candidate will have two years of experience in a professional setting.
- The applicant must, at the time of program start, hold a bachelor's degree from an authorized university.
- The candidate needs to have a solid academic foundation.
- Before the study program begins, the applicant must be able to participate in a Long-Term English (LTE) program or be proficient in English.
- Applicants of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, are encouraged to apply.
