Overview

The University of Ontario - Institute of Technology in Canada is offering Research Awards to undergraduate students for the academic year of 2022. The Undergraduate Research Award is offered to students for full-time research they will do for 12-16 months under the supervision of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) professor.

Eligibility Criteria for the Undergraduate Research Award:

  • Be a registered student, as of Ontario Tech’s application deadline (January 9, 2026), in a bachelor’s degree program at an eligible university.
  • Have obtained, over the previous years of study, a cumulative average of at least B- (70 percent or 2.7 grade points).
  • Have completed at least one full year of university coursework (two full academic semesters) by the start of the research project (May 2026).
  • Have received an endorsement signature from the Project Supervisor of the project(s) listed on your application form.
